BROOKLYN — A TESLA CYBERTRUCK parked in Brooklyn was pelted with eggs and smeared with dog feces, photos circulating on X show, as part of a growing backlash against alleged Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk.
The vehicle’s chunky stainless-steel exterior – itself a previous target of internet mockery – was covered by anonymous vandals in egg yolks and bagged and unbagged waste, drawing both amusement and criticism online. The incident reflects a broader boycott movement against Musk’s businesses, particularly Tesla and X, fueled by political unrest, mostly related to a controversial salute given on Trump’s inauguration and the billionaire’s extreme budget-cutting measures as DOGE’s representative.
While some commenters defended the incident as a form of protest, others argued that the vandalism unfairly targeted individual Tesla owners rather than Musk himself, or that Musk did not deserve the rancor.
